Attractions

  • The Point Loma lighthouse – the best known landmark in Point Loma is the Old Point Loma lighthouse. It is sometimes referred to as the “Old Spanish Lighthouse”; it is located at the end of the point to welcome people to the entrance of the bay with Coronado.
  • Liberty Station is a mixed-use residential/commercial area at the location of the former Naval training Center in San Diego. It is located on a boat channel off of San Diego bay and just a few minutes from both the San Diego airport and the Downtown area. Features include a retail and commercial district, a promenade focused on nonprofit activities, an educational district, a residential district, a hotel district, an office district, and a park/open space area along the boat channel.
  • Shelter Island is a destination for many boaters who come to San Diego for relaxation and vacation. What better place to dock your boat at while you enjoy restaurants, nightlife, hotels, the multiple marinas, and more. The island was originally a sandbank in San Diego Bay, visible only at low tide. It was built up into dry land using material dredged from the bay in 1934. and It was developed in the 1950s
  • Point Loma Nazarene University is a Christian liberal arts college located on the Point Loma oceanfront in San Diego, California, United States. It was founded in 1902 as a Bible college by the Church of the Nazarene.
