Mission Hills is an upscale affluent neighborhood of San Diego. It is located just north of downtown San Diego and overlooks Old Town, Downtown San Diego, and the San Diego Bay. Mission Hills is part of the 92103 zip code area which it shares with Hillcrest, a neighborhood of San Diego just to the East, and is part of the Uptown community planning area. The Mission Hills area is primarily residential, with some boutique shops and restaurants.
Mission Hills has extensive charm and allure thanks in part to the many historic homes throughout the area that showcase the original Craftsman and Spanish styles of the surrounding region from the late 1800s/early 1900s. Because of its exclusivity, prime location with views of the downtown skyline, Mission Valley, the San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean, Mission Hills has become a status of exclusivity thanks in part to high real estate values.
- Old Town San Diego – considered the birth place of California, Old Town is where the first Europeans settled, and is was the original downtown San Diego. It contains Old Town San Diego State Historic Park and Presidio Park, both of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
